Spine dorsali (totale): 11; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 11-12; Spine anali 3; Raggi anali molli: 10 - 11. Grey-blue to bronzy, lighter below; forehead, cheeks and fins darker.
Caught in deeper water. Feeds on crustaceans, small mollusks and algae. Rarely caught by line fishers. Flesh excellent.
