Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 0; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 11-13; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 17 - 21. Preopercular series with 6 large neuromasts; male with orange-red spot pattern in dorsal and anal fins; caudal fin orange-red; female with spotted head, body and unpaired fins (Ref. 42930).

Found usually at the surface of pools preying on small food items (e.g. small insects) that fall on the water surface. These pools from which the species were collected are ephemeral and usually dry up seasonally (Ref. 42930).
