الأشواك الظهرية (المجموع) : 4; الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع) : 9; شوكة شرجية: 3; أشعه شرجية لينه: 9. Greenish grey dorsally, soon shading to silvery on sides and ventrally; golden iridescence often present dorsally on head; posterior edge of caudal fin narrowly blackish (Ref. 11441).

Oviparous, eggs are pelagic and non-adhesive (Ref. 205).
