Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 10; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 16; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 7; Vertèbres: 26. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: segmented dorsal rays 16 with third dorsal spine longest; pectoral rays 14, with all but uppermost branched in adults; lateral line complete, 27-30 tubed scales; no scales on maxilla, mandibles or lower part of snout; lower part of preopercle with two enlarged antrorse serrations; head length 41.9-44.7 % SL; snout length 7.1-9.2 % SL (Ref. 123579).
