Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 9; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 26; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 25. This species is characterized by the following: body elongated, moderately deep, with its upper anterior profile almost straight with shallow notches in front of the eye and beginning of the dorsal fin; scales with deep posterior ridges with short ctenias at the margin; head length 2.1 times the standard length; subvertical mouth slit; lips not broadened; straight premaxillary, with no notch at the alveolar process; retroarticulare without spine; orbit diameter 2.1 times the head length and upper jaw 2.2 times the orbit diameter; 16 gill rakers (Ref. 57877).
