Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 5-6; Rayons mous anaux: 4. Tubercles present on ventral surface of disk. Cephalic lateral line scale counts: preopercular 3-4; subopercular 5-6; dorsolateral branch of subopercular 3-5; supraorbital 6-8. Lateral line scale counts on body 9-10; tail 11-14. Disk depressed; oval in outline; relatively long. Rostrum short, slightly overhanging the mouth. Esca broader than aperture of illicial cavity in some specimens. Gill rakers in the form of finger-shaped pedicles with thin plates filling angles between pedicles and gill arch; tiny teeth at distal ends of pedicles. Tubercles with 6-7 facets, usually with 1 slender spine. Bifid, sometimes trifid, spines on lateral margins of disk and rostrum.
