Kurzbeschreibung Morphologie | Morphometrie

Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 86-95; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 66 - 70; Wirbelzahl: 53 - 55. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: lateral line rather indistinct, ending below dorsal fin ray nos. 27-31 and just behind level of anus, dark vertical fins; otolith with rounded dorsal rim; larger specimens (> 35.0 cm) with pale head and dark brown body and no occipital and interorbital pores (Ref. 83453).

Rare species (Ref. 34024). Reproductive strategy possibly similar to other members of this family featuring oviparity, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
