Occurs in pools and in the backwater of rapids and fast streams with sand, rocks, and decaying wood on the bottom. Found together with Bryconops caudomaculatus, Characidium blennoides, Pimelodella cristata, Leporinus friderici and Astyanax meunieri (Ref. 35381).
出現於水池與在急流與快速的溪流迴流水中以沙子,岩石, 而且在底部上腐敗木材。 發現伴隨著 尾斑瑙脂鯉〔Bryconops caudomaculatus〕 , Characidium blennoides , 小油鯰〔Pimelodella cristata〕 , 弗氏兔脂鯉〔Leporinus friderici〕 與 Astyanax meunieri.(參考文獻 35381)
