Reported from China's coast (Ref. 47843). Introduced from its native range to other regions in the country, intensive culture and extensive stocking in all kinds of inland waters (Ref. 55380). Recorded from Yalu, Chefoo (Ref. 2058) and chiefly cultured north of Changjiang (the Yangtze River) (Ref. 31845). Also Ref. 559, 41299, 117610.
