Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 3; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 26-27; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 15 - 16; Vertèbres: 26. This species distinguished by the following characters: 26-27 segmented dorsal-fin rays; 15-16 segmented anal fin rays; 41-43 scales in lateral line series; emarginate to strongly emarginate caudal fin; when preserved, dark grayish brown spot on opercular flap, upper part of head and body dark grayish brown, the rest abruptly pale yellowish brown; dark spots on dorsal fin absent (Ref. 81967).
Collected from reefs and reef slopes (Ref. 81967).
