Espinas dorsales (total): 8; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 9; Espinas anales 2; Radios blandos anales: 8. A Nectamia with two faint dorsal saddles, faint caudal-peduncle band, no pale bars on side of body, and faint cheek mark, caudal fin without dark margins (Ref. 74933).
Forms aggregations, sometimes among staghorn corals (Ref 90102).
