পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 2; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 6; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 10. Differs from the only other member of the genus Pseudolaguvia tuberculata in having an adipose fin not reaching posterior insertion of dorsal fin, a narrower head (23.8-25.1 versus 26.7% SL) , and a shorter snout (12.8-14.3 versus 16.7% SL) (Ref. 50586).
