背棘 (總數): 6 - 8; 背的軟條 (總數): 6-8; 臀棘 0; 臀鰭軟條: 6 - 7; 脊椎骨: 45 - 48. Snout pointed, with a pair of barbels on its ventral surface. Free nasal margin serrated, with small spines. Branchial membranes fused with isthmus.
