The species Festucalex amakusensis (Tomiyama ,1972) and Festucalex townsendi (Duncker, 1915) are considered as valid in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Mar. 2011: Ref. 86697) following Kuiter (2009: Ref. 86771).
