Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

The type locality in the upper Kumbu Creek at Kumbu Falls (430 m asl) is a small mountain stream with 2.5-3.7 m width, 28-50 cm water depth, with cool (23.1-23.2°C) water, high dissolved oxygen content of 93-96% saturation and 7.08-7.72 mg/L, a pH of 7.0-7.5, conductivity 30.8-31.6 μS/cm, a current strength of 0.29-0.56 m/s taken on 12 July 2014, bottom substrate consisting of sand, gravel, pebbles, boulders and bedrock, and mostly clear water. The creek is sheltered by overhanging vegetation, leaf litter and some woody debris (Ref. 116863).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5156   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01514 (0.00712 - 0.03216), b=2.97 (2.80 - 3.14), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
