Comments | Once occurred in artificial ponds near Colombus, Luna County, New Mexico (MSB 949:38 specimens collected in 1951), apparently introduced from Mexican sources for mosquito suppression, and now extant. It was also reported that the springs supporting the species in Mexico, immediately south of Pancho Villa State Park, Mexico dried in the 1940s (Ref. 43452). Ref: |
