Comments A 67.4 mm SL specimen was captured off the coast of Batroun (31°15'N, 35°39'E), northern part of the country on May 13, 2010. A second specimen (93 mm SL) was collected north of Beirut, close to Jounieh Bay (33°59N, 35°36'E) May 30, 2010. Samples were deposited at the American University of Beirut (AUBM OS 3672 and AUBM OS 3673). Specimens may either be a Lessepsian migrants or entered via ballast water (Ref. 85233).The high number of recent Lessepsian migrations on the eastern Mediterranean is more likely a result of the widening and deepening of the Suez canal, habitat degradation and other factors linked to climate change (Ref. 96897).     Ref:  Bariche, M., 2011
