Symptoms: | Loss of appetite, lethargic swimming, excess mucus production, and a lumpy body surface because of the parasite. | |
Treatments: | The parasite is transparent in color so dipping the infected fish in freshwater will make the parasite visible. Bathing in 150 ppm hydrogen peroxide (500 ml of 30% hydrogen peroxide in 1 t seawater) for 30 minutes. | |
Prophylaxis: | Suitable amount of intake water. | |
