Fish affected: Anguillidae   
Symptoms: Ventral haemorrhages, red anus, red base of fins, ulcer with light rim, boils on head which ulcerate, haemorrhages on liver, inflamed intestine, body cavity containing fluid. Slack swimming movements at surface before death.   
Treatments: Oxytetracycline used in the food: 55 mg/ kg. fish/day for 10 days (POST).  
Prophylaxis: Remove infected fish. Optimal environmental conditions.
