Remarks: | The infection affects the excretory system of the infected fish specifically the renal tubuli epithelium in the renal tubules. The released spores blocks the excretory passages of the infected fish (Dykova and Lom, 1982). The causative agent could also cause swimbladder inflammation in carp (Korting, 1982; Casaba et al., 1984; Molnar and Kovacs-Geyer, 1986). | |
