Symptoms: | The fish loss its balance and hang upside down. | |
Treatments: | Use antibacterial medicines in the case of bacterial infections. Increase the temperature (by +5 to +7°C) or add salt (1-2g/L) as treatment to the disease. In most cases, the fish will have to be euthanased. | |

Remarks: | The disease is cause by malfunctioning swim bladder or by an internal tumor. This disease can also be caused by bacterial infection and sometimes infections from nematodes or sporozoan parasites. Also Ref. 048652. | |
