Known from Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Travancore and Mumbai coast (Ref. 45255); Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Ref. 118627). Fairly common at the mouth of the Ganges river. Said to penetrate well up rivers in India but its occurrence in freshwater needs to be verified (Ref. 9859). |
