A Lessepsian migrant that was recorded with 6 specimens for the country. Six striped piggies (13.3-15.8 cm TL or 11.5-13.8 cm SL) collected on the Yumurtalik shores, Adana by a bottom trawl from a depth of 20 m (Ref. 124033). Samples were collected seasonally between April 2014 and December 2015 using bottom trawl from 10 and 20 m depth contours off the north-western coast of the Gulf of Iskenderun (Ref. 124034). First single report by Aksiray (1987) was noted as doubtful (Ref. 57855) since no essential information (precise capture locality, specimen description, etc.) was provided.
