Recorded from several localities in Baja California Sur (Ref. 37955); Bahiai Magdalena (Ref. 96339). Museum: Scripps Inst. Of Oceanog. SIO 70-79 (Holotype, Ceiro Colorado, Sonora). Possibly utilized as a food fish (Ref. 37955). Small quantities taken as bycatch of the shrimp fishery are utilized as fishmeal. Also Ref. 43278.
