Records of P. cirratus (Ref. 288, 280) and P. japonicus (Ref. 247) possibly referable to the undescribed Philippine sawshark Pristiophorus sp. which is previously misidentified as P. cirratus and confused with P. japonicus (Ref. 31368, 47737). Pristiophorus cirratus specimen USNM-10170 from Apo Island (Negros Oriental) (Ref. 288) now identified as Pristiophorus sp. C specimen USNM-151231 (Ref. 47949, 47737). Additional materials in CAS museum from Camarines, Ragay Gulf, & Balayan Bay (Ref. 47737).
