Reported in 2006 in a shallow lake in Alberta Canada and is now widely distributed in this state. Most likely to further spread due to waterways connectivities and life history attributes of ths fish (Ref. 120696). Also reported in Saskatchewan, which is likely the result of downstream spread from the introduced populations in Alberta (Ref. 120697).
