Occurs in coastal rivers and marine waters from Shoalhaven River, N.S.W. to Ewens Pond, S.A. (Ref. 7300). Known from south east Australia from the Grose river (New South Wales) to the Hopkins river (Victoria) (Ref. 44894). Also occurs in Tasmania and King Island in Bass Strait. Vulnerable in Australia, Victoria and Tasmania (Ref. 48666). Adversely affected by Oncorhynchus mykiss (Ref. 48787). Also Ref. 3881.
