Type locality, Petén, Río San Pedro at junction with springfed lagoon at El Paso de Caballo, Río Usumacinta basin, UMMZ 248165 (ex 143461) (holotype of Potamarius usumacintae, 42.2 cm SL). Most specimens were collected from Río San Pedro and Río de la Pasión (Ref. 75770). |
