Occurs mostly in southern France, except the Adour drainage and the uppermost reaches of Dordogne, Lot and Tarn drainages; extends eastwards at least ot the Vidourle drainage, southeastwards to the Tech drainage at the Spanish border and northwestwards to the Charente drainage (Ref. 56793).
