Type locality of the syntypes of Salmo pallaryi: 'un lac permanent du Moyen-Atlas marocain, l'aguelman Sidi Ali ou Mohamed (altitude 2230m)' (Ref. 94556). Once known from Lake Aguelman de Sidi Ali (Ref. 50057, 55619, 94553, 94556, 94656, 94707, 94708), but it disappeared since 1938 after the introduction of Cyprinus carpio in the lake in 1934 (Ref. 6386, 50056).
