Endemic to the upper reaches of the rio Uruguai, in the states of rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. Even after intense collections in the middle portion of rio Uruguai, the species has not been collected in this area. Type locality, rio Canoas, at road from Anita Garibaldi to Abdon Batista, Santa Catarina (Ref. 43112). |
