Native to UK but introduced to Loch Lomond (Ref. 32684). Also feed on worms, mollusks, crustaceans, and various insect larvae; large chub eat considerable numbers of small fish, such as chub, eels, dace, roach, gudgeon and minnows; also frogs, crayfish, voles and young water birds (Ref. 6258). Pale yellow eggs are found attached to gravel, weed and stones in flowing water (Ref. 41678). Also Ref. 6258, 90052. |
