Isolated captures (3 specimens at 44°23'N in 1951and one larva at 42°21'N in 1980) of this species in these far northern regions likely represent expatriate individuals transported northward by the Gulf of Stream from southern locations. Museum: Nova Scotia, USNM 92614 (Ref. 26268). Also Ref. 26938.
