Reported in Bahía Blanca estuary, and it accounts for the bulk of the catches by coastal fishing fleets (50% of the total annual catch in 1993). One of the most important regional fishing resources although in the last 10 years landings have greatly deceased (Ref. 55045). Found in San Jorge Gulf, 45°41' S, 66°44' W (Ref. 86990).
