Ranges from Arctic Alaska to Norton Sound and the St. Lawrence I. (Ref. 27547). It has been found in the Meade River, as much as 144 km upstream (Ref. 27547). Utilized as a food fish in some regions of the arctic coast (Ref. 27547). Also Ref. 4645, 6876, 11366, 10280, 28503, 121277, 125579.
