Type locality of the holotype of Nothobranchius bojiensis: 'Kenya: from waterholes on a journey across the Boji plains, on the way to Merti, exact locality not known but approx. 01°30'N 39°10'E (100-130 m alt.)' (Ref. 26692). Known from waterholes near Merti, on the Boji plains, Northern Ewaso Nyiro drainage, in northern Kenya (Ref. 26692, 52331). Also Ref. 27139.
