Known from Soca and Rizana drainages (Ref. 59043). Population has declined in Adriatic river basin due to genetic pollution - hybridisation with (Salmo trutta m. fario). Conservation measures include water reserves, artificial propagation, and and stocking (Ref. 90061). Also Ref. 11241, 26100, 59043.

Status of threat: Least concern (Ref. 119201).
