Comments

According to Ref. 6375 this species became established in natural waters. May have been reintroduced in the 1990s for angling/sport (Gordon Copp, pers. comm., Oct. 18, 2006). Attempts by G.H. Copp to confirm status unsuccessful due to consent problems (>15 landowners). Lakeside resident, Mr. Preese, says lake is difficult to access for anglers and that large pike said to be present. So, rock bass may not be extirpated. Also Ref. 1739, 1971, 5204.
