According to Ref. 6375 this species became established in natural waters. May have been reintroduced in the 1990s for angling/sport (Gordon Copp, pers. comm., Oct. 18, 2006). Attempts by G.H. Copp to confirm status unsuccessful due to consent problems (>15 landowners). Lakeside resident, Mr. Preese, says lake is difficult to access for anglers and that large pike said to be present.
