Comments

Occurs in Arctic and Pacific basins throughout most of Alaska (Ref. 5723) but absent from islands along the Bering and Pacific coasts and from arctic islands (Ref. 27547). During summer, fish in streams in interior Alaska appear to wander more or less at random, some going upstream, some down. The general trend of movement is downstream, however, so that by October no suckers remain in the upper reaches or in the spawning areas (Ref. 27547). Also Ref. 5723, 6876, 10280, 11366, 119194.
