Recorded from the Alabama River system of Mobile Basin, with some Black Warrior populations in Alabama. Also found in Tennessee River drainage in Town Creek near Fort Payne, Alabama (Ref. 10294). Fairly common, especially in spring-fed streams in Coosa River system (Ref. 5723).
