Known from the tributaries of Mississippi and Tennessee rivers on Former Mississippi Embayment from Kentucky to Louisiana; and Arkansas River drainage in southwestern Missouri, eastern Kansas, northwestern Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma (Ref. 86798). Generally common (Ref. 86798); abundant in western Tennessee and in Neosho River system in Missouri and Oklahoma (Ref. 5723). Also Ref. 10294.
