Comments

Occurs in the Mekong basin (Ref. 12693). Found around the Tonle Sap, Great Lake, (Ref. 36651), Sékong, Stung Chihreng and Sré Umbell (Ref. 36654). Undertakes a non-reproductive upstream migration during November to February all the way from Kandal, near Phnom Penh, to the Khone Falls and a reproductive downstream migration from May to July (Ref. 37770). Recorded from market surveys at Stung Treng in February and at Kratie in January-February where this species is considered part of a group of small non-reproductive fish migrating upstream from downriver in January-February (Ref. 37770). Sangke river, Battambang province (Ref. 41486). Also Ref. 27732, 33813, 36662, 36686, 43281.
