Known from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Bengal, Assam and Orissa. Common in the Kosi and Bagmati rivers in Bihar (Ref. 4833). Also recorded from the Barak and Jiri rivers, Manipur (Ref. 42988) and Tripura (Ref. 97593). Museum: Jiri river at Jiribam, Manipur, MUMF 2508 (holotype, 6.14 cm SL) (Ref. 42988).
