Apparently endemic to the southern shores of Japan from the Sagami Bay

southwards and along the back arc of the Ryukyu Island Chain at 900–1700 m and not venturing away from the shelf break for more than 100 km (Ref. 125143). Reported in Sagami Bay and Suruga Bay (Ref. 559). Also Ref. 34024.
