Type locality of the syntypes of Pellonula vorax: 'River Niger' (Ref. 3022) [this is the type locality of only one syntype, type locality for the other syntypes is indicated as 'West Africa' (Ref. 3022)]. Known from southern region (Ref. 31256), including coast and lagoons in the neighborhood of Lagos (Ref. 1880, 2993, 118069), creeks near Badagry (Ref. 1880), Niger River Delta (Ref. 2244, 2849, 2982, 2985, 3031, 81269, 81631) and lower Cross River (Ref. 1878, 1880, 2244, 2849, 3031, 81269, 81631, 85170, 88941).
