Known from the Mekong, Chao Phraya and Maeklong basins (Ref. 26336). Rare throughout its range and is becoming rarer. Might already be gone from the Chao Phraya basin (Ref. 10418); also from Bangkok, Nakhon, Ratchasima, Phitsanulok, Pasak river (Sara Buri), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Songkhla and Chanthaburi (Ref. 37773). Museum: Chao Phraya, MNHN 1553. Kanchanaburi market, CAS 67177 (might have been caught in Chao Phraya basin) (Ref. 10418); Ubom province, Mekong basin, market at Ubon Ratchathami, Thailand, BMNH 1992.2.11.5 (Ref. 31982); also from Also Ref. 36654.
