Known from the Mekong basin. Migrates downstream from Khone Falls to Kandal near Phnom Penh from March to August (Ref. 37770). Juveniles appear from several places along this stretch. Fish of 2 cm occur in June-August at Kratie and in July-August at Kandal (Ref. 37770). Also Ref. 7432, 36686, 37770.
