Evermann and Goldsborough 1907 (Ref. 11366) cite old records ranging from the Bering Sea to southeastern Alaska (Ref. 11366). Some of these were recorded under the name Hippoglossus vulgaris. Outside the distributional range, occurrence needs verification.
