Found in Cunene and Okavango rivers. It appears to be similar to the chubbyhead group, which is confined to the southern fauna, preferring cooler conditions. This species is, strictly confined to the Zambezi Province and was first sampled from a brook 100 km south east of Quibala, Angola in the Longa River system (ref. 7248).
