Type specimen from the Fitzroy River, Queensland. Known from Rockhampton, Qld. To Lake Hiawatha, N. S. W. and Murray-Darling system as far south and west as Swan Reach, S. A. (Ref. 7300). Known from Mulgrave river, Wet Tropics, Northern Queensland (Ref. 40054); Burdekin River (Ref. 40171). Probably adversely affected by Gambusia holbrooki and Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (Ref. 48787). Also Ref. 44894.
